“Religion that God the Father accepts is this: caring for orphans or
widows who need help.” — James 1:27

At DHR Ministries, we have the incredible privilege of caring for 33 orphans who reside at the Hope Center in Ibanda, Uganda. Each child carries a story of resilience and hope, and our mission is to ensure that they not only have their basic needs met but also experience the love and joy of Christ in real and tangible ways.
During the 2024 mission trip, our team hosted a special luncheon for the children at the Golden View Hotel. It was their first time dining in a restaurant and using silverware. Their smiles and excitement were unforgettable. The experience moved Brother Keenan Dupree to buy them ice cream, and he pledged to sponsor the next luncheon in 2025.
By God’s grace and through the generosity of faithful supporters, the funds were raised before the August 2025 trip. On August 23, the children gathered once again for a beautiful celebration meal. They enjoyed grilled chicken, stewed beef, groundnuts, rice, potatoes, matooke, chapati, salad, fruit, sodas, bottled water, and ice cream. For many, it was a meal far beyond what they typically receive—an expression of God’s abundance and care.
This work reminds us that when we come together in faith and generosity, we become the hands and feet of Jesus. The joy of these children, the meals shared, and the hope renewed are all made possible through those who give and pray. Together, we are building something eternal—love that multiplies and never fades.
When you give to DHR Ministries, your donations provide housing, food, clothing, school uniforms, medical care, and educational materials for the orphans in our care. Together, we are helping them experience hope, dignity, and the assurance that they are deeply loved by God.
