Medical Center

According to the National Population & Housing Census of 2014, more than 50% of the population in Ibanda are ages 0-17 and several families do not have adequate health facilities accessible to them in several parts of Ibanda District.

While many achievements since 2013 have begun to address critical challenges facing several poverty-stricken children and families, the Dr. Herldleen Russell (DHR) Ministries organization would like to offer resources toward the construction of a Hospital facility in Ishongororo Ibanda District.

Our design includes the following in patient/out-patient wards and services:

Maternity Ward

  • First Stage

  • Delivery Room

  • Examination Room

  • Ultra Sound Room

Pediatric Ward

Dentistry

Surgery Theater

Doctor’s Office

Lobby & Waiting Area

In addition to the above, there will also be a separate staff living quarters and a lined latrine to support the medical center's doctors and staff.

In building this facility it is our endeavor to assist with overcoming some of the many health department challenges such as dilapidated health buildings that affect quality, access and utilization of service, and inadequate health infrastructure.

Current construction includes the main hospital block which has 11 phases totaling $168,622.00.  Future construction efforts include the staff living quarters $52,542 and a lined latrine for $9,895.

Total costs for this medical center are $231,065. To date, $30,000 has been raised. To donate to the Medical Center please fundraising campaign below. You can also donate by Texting DHRMHEALTH to 44321 .
