In 2013, the DHR Ministries established an effort to create an Educational Complex in Ibanda, Uganda that would seek to provide necessary resources for children to receive a world-class educational experience. This complex includes a 7 classroom primary school, a library/multi-purpose building, its own kitchen, latrines for boys and girls, a girl and boy dormitory for children who live far away from the school, and an administration building for the local staff and faculty.
The Dr. Willie Mae Rivers Primary School is the very first school established under the Dr. Herldleen Russell Ministries organization. The school was built from the ground up in Ibanda, Uganda. The Dr. Herldleen Russell Ministries is very proud to announce that the school officially became operational in February, 2015. There is currently an enrollment of more than 300 students to date! The original school (pictured below) could only hold 60 students.
The success of the very first primary school under DHR Ministries organization quickly made this a model prototype for other schools in other districts. In 2014, the Mt. Rose City of Refuge Primary School was sponsored by Mt. Rose City of Refuge Church of God In Christ in Crosby,Texas. The total cost of this project was $42,000. This school also has a capacity of just over 300 students. Pictured below is the original school that could only hold less than 100 students. In 2015, the school was officially operational in Bwondha, Uganda.
Currently, there is a 3rd school being replicated once more to build a 7 classroom primary school in the Kamwenge district of Uganda. The total cost of this project is $40, 947.62. Three of Five phases are now complete: foundation, structural brick work, and roofing. Remaining phases are the openings and general finishings. The video shows the progress of this work.
