Water Wells

Access to clean water changes lives. For over a decade, DHR Ministries has

focused on bringing safe, reliable water sources to communities across

Uganda. Through the hard work of dedicated teams and the generosity of

donors; children, families, and entire villages now enjoy the health, hope, and

opportunity that come with sustainable water wells.

This past year has seen remarkable progress. We completed drilling three new

water wells, each bringing fresh water to places where it was desperately

needed:

Dr. Willie Mae Rivers / Dr. Wilma Hughey Primary School: Over 400

students now enjoy clean drinking water right on their campus. This well

has improved health, reduced absences, and created a safer, more

welcoming learning environment.

Hope Center Orphanage, Ibanda: Thirty-three orphans and local

community members have easy access to safe water. This well is a lifeline,

helping children thrive and supporting families in the area.

Sheard Christian School, Tongolo: More than 300 students benefit from

this new well. No longer do children need to walk long distances to fetch

water; now they can focus on learning and growing.

The journey continues. In the next six months, DHR Ministries will drill three

additional wells:

Kitgum: The community here will soon receive a new well, providing relief

to families who currently struggle to find clean water.

Nebbi: Plans are underway to bring fresh water to this region, improving lives

and supporting local development.

Rumsey Technical School near Ibanda: Students at the Technical School and

surrounding communities will benefit from a nearby well, supporting

education and vocational training.

With your support, these wells will be completed within six months, bringing real

change to thousands more Ugandans.

Since the start of this mission, DHR Ministries has installed a total of 34 water

wells across Uganda. These wells now serve over 60,000 people, providing

clean water, promoting better health, and sparking hope for a brighter future.

Each project is a testament to what we can achieve together—a ripple effect of

generosity and compassion reaching far beyond the well itself.
